With our Nacolo Dye Kit, made for cotton, linen, hemp, silk and other natural fabrics, you’ll explore the colorful world of natural dyes. The kit includes 3 quality natural dye extracts for your kids to explore the fascinating world of natural colors and have a fun filled day appreciating the gifts of nature.
Each dye extract is made out of 100% natural ingredients and are completely azo-free. Each dye extract and mordant weighs approximately 50 grams.
Kit Includes:
- 50g each of 3 natural dye powders (marigold for yellow, indigo for blue, and pomegranate for gold)
- 1 cotton T-shirt or fabric swatches (pre-scoured)
- Rubber bands and wooden stirring sticks
- Mordant-Free Dyes: Marigold and pomegranate can produce reasonably vibrant colors on cotton without a mordant, especially with a longer dye bath. Indigo, being vat-dyed, does not require a mordant.
- Dye instructions booklet (digital product)
Note:
An extract is a concentrated form of dye and is much more potent and easier to use than ordinary dye powder.

Free of harmful chemicals (azo-free dye), this simple dye kit is safe for both adults and children to use. Sourced sustainably and having little environmental footprint, each dye is a good choice for an ecologically conscious user/creator.

- Avoid Ingestion: Natural dyes, although non-toxic, is strictly for textile use and is not safe for consumption.
- Handle Carefully: Open the dye container gently to avoid spills or creating airborne dust.
- Protect Eyes and Skin: Avoid eye contact, and do not apply directly to skin or hair. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse with cool water.
- Dedicated Equipment Only: Use pots, utensils, and containers solely for dyeing purposes—never use them for food preparation.
- Keep Out of Reach: Keep dye, dye baths, and mordants away from children and pets. Use adult supervision when necessary.
- Dispose of Responsibly: Follow local guidelines when disposing of dye solutions and mordant baths.
How to store?
Keep it in a cool and dry place away from moisture and sunlight. Store the contents in an Airtight Container after opening the package.
